Singapore Airlines steward captured at New Delhi airplane terminal for smuggling gold

A Singapore Airlines (SIA) lodge team has been captured in India for supposedly carrying gold.

The steward was captured by Indian traditions officers on Monday (Jan 22) at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

A SIA representative who affirmed the news disclosed ."SIA affirms that an individual from its lodge team working on SIA flight SQ402 on Jan 22 was confined by Delhi Customs experts.

"SIA will give full co-operation to the examining specialists. We can't give points of interest of the team part worried because of private reasons."

Beginning examinations have uncovered that the team part had planned to hand over the gold to a specialist at a noticeable lodging in Delhi.

"He would get S$500 (RM1,486) for this," a senior authority stated, including that the group had worn the gold things - a chain and a bangle - under his uniform.
