Rule for success | Can we really do it?

Greeting my esteemed Steemians,

I have been using the term Minnows to address us the newbie on the steemit platform.

I am embarrassed to say that I haven't even reached the level of minnow yet. In fact, anybody with Steem Power less than 500 is considered as PLANKTON.

I was surfing and looking at my blog and realised that there was an icon indicate at what level is the blog. Unfortunately, it is no longer there. If you noticed that, it was located on the left side of our image cover. But it is no longer there.

Back to the title, Rule for success | Can we really do it?
I have been making some research on my blog post and noted which post gained good traffics and rewards.

I found out that anything that is not steemit related usually commands low rewards. I understand it very clear. I am not putting any blame on anybody especially my #teammalaysia. In fact, I know exactly the reason.

steemit.com

Ever since it was introduced in 2016, they are almost 700 thousand users around the globe. In #teammalaysia, they are more than 800 users of this platform.

Most of my fellow steemians in #teammalaysia were introduced to this platform because of the financial reward that he or she could potentially acquire. And they can write anything they like.

Most are new.
One month ago, I was the 500th steemian that were added to Steem Malaysia FB group. Now they are more than 800 members in our group. Just in one month, #teammalaysia have added 300 new steemit users, who are also our new potential readers for our blog page.

Around the world, almost 100 thousand new steemians were registered in one month. Imagine that.

What do these new steemians want to read? Do they want to read about how @papanog cooking his fish with tamarind sauce. Do they want to read about how @papanog treat patients with chronic pain? They were some who wanted to read about it but let's face it, most wanted to know more about steemit.com. @ejemai keeps talking about steemit. He surrounded himself with it. The most important thing, he did it to promote steemit.com. Same as @bitrocker2020 who lead #teammalaysia and continuously promoting steemit.com.

Look, how @papanog promoting steemit.
Our fellow steemian got interested and excited to know new development about @papanog's friend's clinic started to accept SBD as payment.
Our fellow steemians got curious and acknowledge the dilemma faced by newbies in their quest for success on the steemit platform.
Our fellow steemians are excited to welcome our new members when they introduced themselves in introduceyourself tag or story on how they got hooked on this platform.

What should I write?

Well, you can write anything as what our fellow steemians told us before we join. But try to include how you are going to add some value to the steemit platform in your blog post.

For example, maybe if you are writing about travelling, maybe you can write about how you use your SBD to finance your travel like what @sweetsssj did. You can write like how @danieldoughty indicate that he uses his SBD for his travel. Very smart.

You probably can write how much SBD you need to travel to, say, Himalaya? 2000 SBD at 1 SBD = USD5. You need to do some research on your prediction or other people's prediction on the price of SBD in 6 months from now or anytime before your journey to Himalaya. Write about cryptocurrency on top of your Himalaya's story.

These are only examples. I think whatever considered valuable to the readers, who happened to be our fellow steemians, may be able to get good rewards.

Promoting Steemit.com

Everybody had written about steemit gathering, boot camps, develop communities and etc. These stories attract readers. It attracts the whales, orcas or dolphins because they wanted to see how we build up the steemit foundation and promote steemit. It is a good news.
As for the new steemians, they would be naturally interested to read because it can build up their confidence and can continue to learn to be a good steemit blogger in the long run.

It is so rewarding to write about anything which can be related to steemit, especially on the adding more value to this platform.
Again, I think whatever considered valuable to the readers, who happened to be our fellow steemians, may be able to get good rewards.

What else out there that we can do?

Plankton. Set a target. Never convert your Steem or SBD to fiat money, unless you have reached 500 Steem Power. If my memory serves me well, as soon as you passed the 500 SP, you are officially a Minnow. Please celebrate once you reach this amount only on Steem/SBD that you can afford. Because the next target would be a Dolphin.

Keep your Steem/SBD while the price of it is relatively low. Take the opportunity to power up your Steem Power. When more steemians keep their Steem/SBD, the price will eventually be going up. However, if you keep selling it, the price will keep dropping. Could that be one of the reasons why our steem and SBD price is dropping?

Although I have no business on asking everybody to keep their Steem/SBD I think this should be one of the ways that we as steemians can contribute in increasing the price.

Minnow. On your quest to be a dolphin, spend your precious Steem/SBD as if you were still a Plankton.
Dolphin. On your quest to be an Orca, spend your hard earn Steem/SBD as if you were still a Minnow.
Orca. On your journey to be the mighty whale, spend your Steem/SBD as if you were still an Orca.
Mighty Whale.....eerrr just do as you like I suppose? Hehehe

I know, I know. I have been thinking this several times whether to include the plankton's advice. Because this supposed to be an advice for planktons. I just got the idea to include it in. I hope it can help a bit.

Well, there are many ways to be successful as a plankton, you just need to read and do some research.
To tell you the truth, I was tempted to keep this as my own, because I know it will work. But that is not a steemit way. Sharing is the steemit way.

Conclusion.

At the end of the day, being friendly and helpful is what really makes you a successful steemit blogger.
Be creative. Keep promoting steemit to the world. They are 7.8 billion more people around the world that probably want to be on steemit.com.
