Lots of people ask me where my passion for live shows come from. In my late teens, I was ravenous for metal. I had discovered and was mainlining the gateway drugs that most fall into when they stumble down the rabbit hole; Painkiller and Holy Diver and Love at First Sting and Powerslave, over and over and over. At first it was the raw, threatening beauty and intensity this music represented to me... but the more that I listened to, the bigger the rent it opened in my gut grew.
