Great soups at 1500 meter in Austria

Nothing tastes as good as a warm soup after climbing a mountain and sitting down in a restaurant to eat afterward. Is that really so? I have been to Rax in Austria, and even though I didn't climb the 1500 meters, I did walk for 30 minutes to get to the Ottohaus from the Raxbahn we took to get to the hill (the Raxbahn lifted us 1000 meters up in less than 10 minutes).

At the Rax mountain there are plenty of places to walk and to stay, but we went to the Ottohaus. There they had beds we could sleep in, and of course, they had a restaurant in which we could eat. They had some desserts, but we were not so big fans of those. But, the soups we had was really great!

We tasted a traditional Goulash soup, a meat soup, and an onion soup. I, of course, tasted all three of them, and the best was the Goulash soup. It was packed with ingredients, so even though it didn't look like the biggest portion in the start, I was completely full after eating all of it.

The meet soup was also good, but not as good as the onion soup. But, no matter what, if you have had a nice walk, all three soups will do you well, but the Goluash soup is the best, simply because it had the best taste and contained most food!

Here you can see a picture showing the Ottohaus from distance. I would love to return to the place to eat some more Goulash soup and to walk more, simply because the nature and the view is amazing, and there is something special about walking around in the nature and then eating a good portion of food after that.
