Tama built it for Sput Searight, that floor tom named the 'Duo Snare,' with the snares under it. We can say this, because he told all the 200 people during a clinic we attended and recorded. Drummers still experiment crafting sounds and creative drum-sound-combinations like this, and at Drummerszone we hope this never stops. Tama took that best workable snare-idea in production with the Hyperdrive Duo series. Robert "Sput" Searight and Anika Nilles have this drum in their setup and it is a great addition if you want different snare effects, or even sound effects. The sound is also a good and safe bet on all live and recording levels with the Maple construction of these well layered drums.
