Gerhana Bulan Total adalah peristiwa dimana terhalanginya cahaya matahari oleh bumi sehingga cahayanya tidak semua sampai ke bulan. Gerhana bulan total ini diperkirakan akan terjadi pada 31 Januari 2018. Tidak hanya itu, gerhana bulan kali ini adalah gerhana bulan langka karena pada saat yang bersamaan akan terjadi dua peristiwa yaitu Gerhana Bulan Total dan Supermoon.
Supermoon adalah bulan super dimana bulan berada diposisi orbit terdekatnya dengan bumi. Pada kesempatan ini kita bisa melihat bulan sepanjang malam.
Seperti diberitakan, gerhana bulan langka diprediksi akan menghiasi langit Aceh pada 31 Januari 2018, mulai dari pukul 18.48–22.11 WIB.
