Esther's Beauty

Esther was a queen in the Bible. She was someone who was so exceptional that a king couldn't just resist her.

But then, what are those qualities that made Esther stand out among the other virgins shown to the king?

#1 She sought advice from the right source

Right from a little age, Esther learnt to listen to the advice from her uncle and never deviated from it. She remained a virgin which was one of the criteria for selection. And then, even when she got to the throne, the Bible recorded that Esther spent time with Mordecai and I'm sure that quality time wasn't spent in the type of food she was eating in the palace.

As a lady, Who you go to for advice matters a lot.

#2 Esther wasn't a mediocre

Taking a look at the background of Esther, she came from a tribe of slaves. She came from a tribe that was so irrelevant that any elder in the land could just walk up to the king and ask for all of them to be wiped out and the king would allow it.
But did that stop Esther from striving to be on top? Nope.
You can imagine all the rich men daughters who would have signed up for the queen's space, Esther could have probably been the poorest and least qualified. But then, she didn't let that stop her

No matter our background, we ought to strive to meet any goal imaginable.

#3 Esther kept good company

The company you keep matters a lot. Esther was either with Mordecai or Hegai, the one in charge of the virgins...learning new stuff and just surrounding herself with right company.

Sometimes, we surround ourselves with people who makes us comfortable taking wrong decisions. It's just the saying...

Evil communication corrupts good manners.

Oh, I've heard people say, nope, no one can influence me to do something bad.
But then if you're constantly in a company of someone who lies constantly, after sometime, you stop picking offences when that person lies to you, and then with time, you start thinking lying isn't so bad after all...

#4 Esther's beauty didn't end when she got married

Even after Esther got the king, she didn't stop doing all the things she was doing to get the king. This is something almost all of us are guilty of. When some guys are asking a girl out, they do so much to make her say yes. But then, after she does, that's the end. Everyone is back to their default setting. Attention is reduced, the gifts come less often.
Ladies are also guilty of this. As soon as we get married, we stop making those efforts we were making to make sure our man was proud of us.

Some ladies go as far as no longer caring about their appearance, anything goes.

All these qualities among others, helped Esther to excel and are some attributes we need to consider imbibing in our lives.
