Today,i would like to talk about something that is very much unrelated to cryptocurrencies.
"What is success?","What is the defination of success?".I believe these must be one of the few questions that is troubling many of us regardless which phase of life we are in.Today,i would like to touch on a few different aspects.
Firstly,does your academics define success?
In our current society,education is pretty much the ticket to having a comfortable and secured life in the future.Many people are increasingly advocating for the power of knowledge,and hence,the need for education.Well,that,i have to agree.However,in the current competitive education system,is it true that those with poor academical results should be deemed as "stupid" or "unsuccessful"? Well,i will beg to differ.Some people are born to be academically inclined while some are not.Hence,education should NOT be used as a benchmark to compare one's intellegence or one's capability and chances of succeeding in the future.Everyone is born to be talented in a particular way and we should all aim to discover our talents and develop in that aspect.We should not be confining ourselves solely to the education system,and thinking that by restricting oursleves to the system,it is the only way to ensure a livelihood in the future.In fact,a large proportion of the workforce out there are not utilising the skills and knowledge they learnt in school!With that said,the education certificate and degree is still intrumental as it allows us to have an edge over the others when applying for jobs.This is because,by having a higher degree,it will seem that you have more skills and knowledge to impart and share to the industry.Hence,education,is still imperative when it comes to securing a job in the society.But to progress and develop our career,it boils down to our ability to further discover and build on our knowledge or interests.
Secondly,does your career define how successful you are?
Success,is often being measured by one's career.And it can be measured by how prestigious the job title is,how significant the job is in the society and most importantly,the salary of the job.Well,many people deem success to be a state where one has attained a high paying,prestigious and significant job.However,is that true? Yes it may be true that one will lead a more comfortable life with a good career.But success is more than that.Success is about pursuing the life that YOU are fond of.Success is about being proud of who you are and what you are.Hence,i feel that one's career will not define the extent of success of the person unless the person is pursuing a career and a life he or she wishes to lead.
So now if you were to ask me what success is,then my answer is:"Success is defined by you."
Everyone has their own goals and priorities,and hence their pathways in the future will inevitably be different.The most important thing is that we should be proud of who we are.We should not believe that we are second to others due to certain societal benchmarks like education.We should be developing our own interest and talents and to work towards OUR personal goal.Hence,whether you are successful or not,it is up to you to decide,not your friends or family or the society.
Believe in yourselves and pursue your own success!
