"Adolf Hitler is still alive." That was the message sent to Washington on October 3, 1955 in Caracas, David Brixnor CIA agent.

In its document, Brixnor says that a U.S. agent in Colombia received information about the alleged presence of Hitler. There, according to this source, it would have changed its name to Adolf Schrittelmayor.

The agent who received the information was identified with a code name: "Cimelody-3". It said that it was Phillip Citroen, a former nazi SS soldier, who revealed the alleged whereabouts of Hitler.

"Phillip Citroën [...] He said confidentially that Adolf Hitler is still alive", says the three-page file.

"Citroen said that, as already it had been 10 years since the end of the second world war, the Allies already not could prosecute Hitler as war criminal," said Brixnor in his report.

"Obviously, 'Cimelody' is not in a position to comment", clarified.

However, such information could never be confirmed by U.S. authorities.
