Why Colin Kaepernick Took a Knee (US Army Veteran, Nate Boyer)

It was US Army vet, Nate Boyer, who suggested to Kaepernick to take a knee as a sign of respect.

With all the debates over NFL players taking knees, few know where the idea actually came from. It was not Colin Kaepernick. The first 2 preseason games Kap chose to sit on the bench, not kneel. It was only after reaching out and talking with US Army Veteran (and former NFL player), Nate Boyer, that Kaepernick decided to take a knee in respectful protest.

Maybe those who think taking a knee is disrespectful will change their minds if they listen to just 2 minutes of Nate Boyer's refreshing voice of reason.

This is what can happen when different perspectives decide to sit down, have a conversation, and hear each other out.
