Even the gods took notice of his great wisdom, so they tasked the great forger Thaddeus to craft a gift of exquisite beauty. Unbeknownst to the gods Thaddeus had taking notice of the young girl from her youth and thought her a great joy and with great fervor he set upon the task. Upon the arrival of the daughters birthday with much fanfare the kingdoms began to give their gifts, one by one they laid them before the feet of the young princess each one greater than the last. Soon the Great Hall was filled with gold and jewels and ornaments from unknown lands. Then a herald from the heavens appeared and said great king the gods have seen fit to bequeath to your daughter this day great favor, behold the gift! Standing before them was a statue made of white marble, a horse with great wings and sapphire blue eyes. the daughter immediately gasped in awe as emeralds dropped to the floor then as if pulled by an invisible tether she was drawn to the great statue and gazed upon it, finally she reached out to touch the wings and was shocked! it's warm she said through tears of wonder and joy she turned to her father and said the wings are as soft as feathers and the eyes stare straight into your soul, upon hearing this the great crowd threw up there hands in much jubilation and cheered in amazement, it was a day to be remembered tomorrow, today and forever! Many weeks have passed since that day and the princess had not been scene so the king called for his daughter having missed her, she could not be found. Finally a hand maiden told the king that she was in her room and would not come out. upon arrival the king knocked and asked her to show herself she replied but father the wings are as soft as feathers and the eyes stare straight into your soul, the king was frantic and with great anger screamed to the guards, break down the door! Upon doing so he saw his daughter pale and thin staring deeply into the sapphire blue eyes of the wigged stallion, not breaking her gaze with the statue she said father the wings are as soft as feathers and the eyes stare straight into your soul with great fury the king commanded the winged statue to be destroyed the daughter screamed. No the wings are as soft as feathers and the eyes stare straight into your soul! the guardsmen took the winged statue atop a great sheer cliff. A great wind blew, the clouds swirled , the trees twisted. Then the king spat at the Statue trembling, I curse you! And ordered his guards to hurl it off the cliff. down into the abyss it fell when suddenly a scream from behind startled them. The wings are as soft as feathers and the eyes stare straight into your soul! his daughter had somehow found the strength the climb the great cliff. The king leaped towards her but it was too late, and for the last time he heard her sweet angelic voice say, the wings are as soft as feathers and the eyes stare straight into your soul. and with that she jumped into the abyss to her love.
