Today i'm going to present you a special cat that you know and seen it more then once in your life.
You may have seen this cat in anime or storefronts and some shops. It is always raising his paw and moving it at the level of it's ear.

This japenese cat is called maneki neko or the lucky cat, maneki neko means literally cat that invites. the tradition is to put one of these cats raising the paw in shops to attract fortune. the left paw is supposed to attract customers and the right one attracts money.
but what makes a cat a source of fortune
well let me tell you a little japenese legend:
everything started in samurai time.
one of the rainy nights of winter in japan, a group of samurai going for a mission were walking in the dark, approaching a temple full of cats that were adopted by a poor temple servitor.
when the rain become rude the samourai decided to hide under a tree. while setting up their camp, they noticed a small silhouette in the dark, intrigued they went to the silhouette to find a cat raising his paw like he was inviting them to follow him.
While the samurai approached the cat. a thunder hits the tree that was protecting them . Very grateful, they donated a big part of their fortune gained from their mission to the temple once they became rich. since then, the cats were considered wise and good spirits.
