Rapai, Musical Instrument With a Tone Range of up to 10 Kilometers

Rapai is a traditional Acehnese percussion instruments are included in a family frame drum, which is played by being hit by hand without using a stick.

Rapai often used in religious ceremonies in Aceh such as marriage ceremonies, circumcision apostles, fairs, accompany the dance, anniversaries, birthdays and so on, and is an integral part of the lives of the Acehnese either philosophically or culturally.

Rapai instrumental set the tempo, rhythm, tingkahan, clattering and made the atmosphere more lively and festive. The tool supports the chorus (melody) of Serune Kalee or Buloh merindu (brass with diatonic interval).
