Hurricane Josiah is expected to pass east of the coast of North Carolina on Monday and remain in the ocean off the coast from Virginia to the New England area, the US National Hurricane Center said.
"However, we expect an increase in the size of the hurricane, or a deviation in its path to the west, to affect (the) Islands of Outer Banks," the center said.
