History of Hashtag

In 2007 a Twitter user thought that he should use hashtags to define that topic. Then every Twitter user started using Hashtags. Then in 2011 Hashtag was being started use in Instagram. Then in 2013 Facebook started using Hashtags. And in 2016 Youtube Started using Hashtags.

Why Are Hashtags being used?

When we click on a hashtag we are able to know about other people what are thinking about that topic. We can also create our own hashtags. Biggest companies are using hashtags to promote their advertisement.
