The is the second installment of our Digest, a weekly(-ish) post acting as a newsletter and a sample of best Q&As since the previous edition.

The last few days have been hectic for @irelandscape and, as a result, there has been little software development activity.

There are a couple of known issues with the StemQ web site which are affecting the ranking of questions and answers on the home page. These will be looked at in priority in the coming days.

Meanwhile, submissions of new Q&As is ongoing on the web site. Read on for a sample of some of the best content published last week.

An issue was reported which prevented some users to access StemQ from within their organization.
This problem has now been fixed.

What is StemQ?

StemQ is a questions and answers (Q&A) application focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.

Using StemQ users can post specific questions about STEM related topics and let other StemQ users answer those questions.

Building the StemQ Team

The main activity that took place over the last few days has been in the form of discussions between @irelandscape and other Steemians with strong interest into the development of the StemQ project and relevant background in the scientific fields.

The objectives here are to build a small team of people who feel strongly about StemQ and would like to participate in the overall direction of the project.

  • What target audience should StemQ seek to address?
  • How can StemQ provide quality curation and a strong rewarding service?
  • What are the main project objectives?
  • What are the short, medium and long term features that should be developed?
  • How does the project get funding for software development?
  • How do we attract new users?
  • How do we improve our SEO results?

These are all key questions that should be addressed sooner rather than later.

This is where a team of dedicated people will make a difference.

If you believe that you have the experience to make a difference and would like to join the StemQ staff, please express an interest on the StemQ Discord Server or simply DM @irelandscape.
