Friar: Where is Lord Soranzo?
Florio: Downstairs, Father.

Florio: I have. He is awaiting news.
Friar: Bring him here, for I have something special for thee.
Florio: Truly father?
FLORIO looks ecstatic.
Friar:Deliver him here.
Florio: Daughter...
Annabella: Yes, father?
Florio: ...Are you... acquiescing, finally?
ANNABELLA looks to THE FRIAR, who nods her/his head encouragingly, and then to FLORIO with hesitancy and anxiousness.
Annabella: (She sighs) I am.
FLORIO is overjoyed.
Florio: (to himself and the heavens) Thank Jesus Christ almighty!
Friar: Say wha?
Florio: Thank you, Father, thank you!
He bows and then kisses the hands of the FRIAR who is looking more pleased.
Friar: Don’t thank me, your highness. Thank this child here for overcoming her sinful ways and embracing the Lord All Mighty, her savior!
Florio: Of course! Later!
FLORIO abruptly exits to retrieve SORANZO.
ANNABELLA looks on at THE FRIAR without saying a word.
Enter FLORIO again with SORANZO who is equally excited.
Soranzo: I don’t believe this...
THE FRIAR approaches SORANZO and takes him by the hand to guide him towards ANNABELLA.
