It has been an extremely volatile an stressful time in the cryptocurrency world over the last few weeks. Bitcoin has dropped from its all time high around 20,000 back down to under 10,000 including a devastating drop over the last 72 hours. The governments of South Korea and China are getting most of the blame, but there might be big news out of the sports world to give everyone a reason for optimism.

The billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks and potential Presidential candidate, Mark Cuban, announced that he will accept Bitcoin as a form of currency at their stadium next season. Fans will be able to buy tickets and t shirts and hats, etc with the cryptocurrency. Cuban is the first major sports owner to embrace Bitcoin.

The next question is will this be mass adopted by all of the major United States sports? Or is this an isolated incidence? Mark Cuban has always been a forward thinking owner and is well respected not only in the sports world but also in the business, finance and technology worlds.

This could potentially be one of the biggest developments in the history of the cryptocurrency as Bitcoin may merge into the professional sports leagues. That would ease a lot of tension and give hope to what has been a rough stretch of late.

Do you think that this will positively affect the current crash of Bitcoin? Thank you for following @steemsports and you can find me @scottybuckets
