It was a great day in the NFL as the 2018 Playoffs got started with two exciting games. They both came down to the fourth quarter and the home teams had a very tough time and their seasons came to an unexpected end.

The early game was between the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs were big favorites at -8.5 points. Everything seemed to be working for Alex Smith and the Chiefs in the first half as they had a 21-3 lead. Alex Smith threw 2 touchdowns and it seemed as not only would they be advancing to the next round, but that they would be a very scary team in the AFC.

The third quarter stared and the Kansas City Chiefs season came to a screeching end. Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota played his best half of the season. He would throw 2 touchdown passes in the second half and lead the team to score 19 straight points. The Titans would win the game 22-21 and advance to the next round of the AFC playoffs in dramatic fashion.

Mariota would only have modest numbers by completing 19-31 on the day for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. Alex Smith on the other hand completed 24-33 for 264 yards and 2 touchdowns and with zero interceptions. But the Titans would get the last laugh with the victory.
