It was a great night in Miami for one NFL quarterback, but not the one you would expect. Jay Cutler looked like the future Hall of Famer and Tom Brady looked like the washed up veteran as the Miami Dolphins beat the New England Patriots 27-10 on Monday Night Football. The Patriots had a chance to win their 11th game and lock up the division but those plans were put on hold for another week.

The Miami Dolphins looked fantastic on offense last night. Cutler completed 25-38 for 263 yards, 3 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Jarvis Landry was his favorite target and had 8 catches including 2 touchdowns. Running back Kenyan Drake had a monster game as well. Drake rushed 25 times for 114 yards and also added 5 receptions for 79 yards. It was the best game of his career.

Tom Brady and the Patriots offense just looked out of sync all night. Superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski was out due to suspension and that sure hurt the team. The Patriots didn’t even get on the scoreboard until there was 6 minutes left in the first half. Tom Brady had one of his worst performances ever. He completed 24-43 with only 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. His QBR of 59.5 is one of his lowest ever.
The Patriots abandoned the running game almost immediately. Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead each only got 5 carries. Danny Amendola had 6 catches for 76 yards but failed to get into the end zone.
The Dolphins have nothing left to play for other than pride. Can Jay Cutler save his job by finishing the season strong? The Patriots though have the highest of goals. They will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in what could be a preview of the AFC Championship game.
