Hiya friends & other fine Steemians,
Despite the ridiculously low prices of precious metals lately — Platinum at a 50yr ratio low! — i have found it difficult to spend any cash on pms. I‘ve been feeling kind of sheepish actually, as i participate vicariously through other people’s metal acquisitions... but it is for good reason! I have been hitting the cryptos hard while they lay flat on their backs — legs wriggling in the air.
I guess it’s a cyclical thing for me: at times i rush to my lcs to spend my last $100 on a few maples or vintage bars, or old junk even. But then at other times the pendulum falls away and swings back to my other investment obsession. Yes, the crypro market.
I don’t know anything for sure, but i can attest to the joy of buying precious metals with bitcoin when it is hitting ATHs, or at least hitting above its weight class. In a way, it’s just like throwing another couple ratios into the mix: it makes it a little more complicated, but it leverages the risk/reward as well. Get this shit right and you’ll feel like super-mario at the hands of a serious gamer.
So that’s why there has not been much new purloinery. I am weighting up in the cryptos in the anticipation of being able to ounce up hard, once again, when the crypto market turns around, as it surely will. However, i still suffer the itus and when there’s no new metal coming in the symptoms can get pretty bad. Just yesterday i was drooling over a display case in the post office — and, it was overpriced, fancy painted RCM bullshit! Thankfully my frugality won the day yesterday, but i have been jonesing hard...
So as a last ditch effort and with a few small prayers to the gods of my Po box, i entered with my key (after hours) and retrieved this

There’s silver in there — i can smell it!!! — and my heart rate just lowered a little bit. And not only that, but this package feels kind of heavy in an unusual yet familiar way. Ooooh, the anticipation is killing me!

I can feel another raffle coing on...or is that the stackitus? only time will tell friends, but it will tell the whole story eventually. We’re halfway through chapter ‘18 and i’m pretty sure we have a few thrills and chills in store for us yet.
