The Future of STEEM Park
Meanwhile in Brooklyn... the Park is in full bloom! It has been a little while since we last updated everyone on what has been going on with STEEM Park. We’ve been wrapped up the extensive post-production stage including sending out our Press Release to various outlets and filming the rest of our documentary film with The Timelapse Group. More on the documentary very soon! Also, scroll down for a super exciting announcement :)

Welcoming the Official STEEM Park Liaison
One of the biggest developments in recent weeks has been the on-boarding of @mintvilla to Steemit to be our official STEEM Park liaison! If you missed her introduction post, she's a landscape architect who serves as Public Programs Associate for Von King Park in Brooklyn where STEEM Park resides. During the entire project process, she coordinated with neighborhood stakeholders to organize meetings, communication and execution. After the launch of the project, she agreed to sign onto Steemit officially as a developing Sndbox member.
Official STEEM Park Liaison - @mintvilla
We're thrilled to have @mintvilla (the plant whisperer, above) on the team as she will be the dedicated point-person of Brooklyn's STEEM Park moving forward. She has a number of short-term goals and long-term visions for STEEM Park and Von King Park that you can read all about here. To help her achieve this for now, @hitheryon has transferred 400SBD that was earned during STEEM Park blog posts over to her.
We Donated 400 SBD for Continued Support
This seed grant will go directly towards maintenance, new signage, planting and future programming. The @sndbox team will also be helping @mintvilla develop and execute ongoing work in order to showcase Steemit’s potential to impact real communities and real problems. The Von King Park Conservancy has a long road to travel before it achieves all its ambitions - attracting a broader public, receiving investment, promoting “glocal” engagement - and we believe that Steemit can help it get to that destination. It will require a number of dedicated actors, so having @mintvilla is a terrific boon for achieving those ends.
We’re looking forward to collaborating with @mintvilla in the coming months/years to support STEEM Park as a cultural asset all around the world!

We're super excited that STEEM Park Brooklyn will soon have a sibling in Seoul! Last month KR Steemian @roychoi flew all the way from Korea to the opening of STEEM Park. He returned inspired!
