Matt and I continue to be blown away by the overwhelming success of this game and the support of this community. We can't thank you enough for helping to make our first 24 hours of beta card sales nothing short of extraordinary.

We currently have 2,214 people who have purchased starter packs for this game. 244 of them have purchased booster packs in the last 24 hours. We have sold just shy of 16,000 packs making this the second largest 24 hour sales period in company history just after the last day of alpha sales.

Broncnutz has purchased the most packs in that period (2,001) and the average number is 65 packs per player $130.

My favorite stat is that we've had $31,000 of purchases come in from other cryptos! That means that $31,000 USD of other cryptocurrencies have been used to buy STEEM on the open market (through Blocktrades) specifically to purchase Steem Monsters packs. While this is still small in the grand scheme of things, it's a good start. We have to grow more to make a bigger dent, and that's exactly what we're trying to do!

Fighting

The next step is fighting. We're looking forward to getting fighting out and that's where we are focusing. We were taken a little by surprise by how quickly the alpha packs sold out and have had to scramble, but now that the site is up and betas are selling we're resuming all attention on bringing you battles.

Simple PVP comes first, but then we'll get the decentralized tournament system up and running. Get ready for the cards to work for you. Watch who is leveling up. Keep your eye on the prize(s). 😎 The battles are about to begin...

Prize Pools

Currently, we're working on a Kickstarter challenge that will get us up to $50 daily prize pools along with our weekly $1,000 prize pools. The fastest way to impact that number is to participate and back the Kickstarter campaign. If we reach $100,000 we get $100 dailies (currently at $63,000).

The best deals live in the Kickstarter and Fundition campaign. So, if you're happy with the beta cards, which many of you seem to be, then that's the best place to pick up the deals!

Additionally, we've budgeted 30% of card sales from beta to go back into prize pools. We can't predict the exact number at this point, but we're looking at the capability of $10,000 per week from us, and an unknown amount from people looking to tap into the attention of the Steem Monsters community.
