Subtracting One-digit Number from Two-digit Number
In this post I am discussing a special subtraction strategy which is subtracting one-digit number from two-digit number which is less than nineteen. In these subtraction problems there are special patterns exist which once recognized by the students will boost their abilities to perform subtraction with regrouping and even other math operations.
I have prepared two worksheets and picked most of the numbers in the problems to practice this key skill. I hope that these problems will help kids recognize the patterns and enhance their ability to do higher level subtraction problems.
The patterns I am talking about are such as 10 - 9 = 1, 10 - 8 = 2, 10 - 7 = 3, 10 - 6 = 4 and so on, very clear to recognize and very very helpful to solve subtraction problems with regrouping.
