Worksheets on Two Quarters and Three Quarters
When a whole has four equal parts and two parts are chosen the fraction is known as two quarters or two fourths. We write it as 2/4. Though two quarter is equivalent to one half (1/2) but for 2nd grade math we keep it to just introduction to the concept.
When a whole has four equal parts and three parts are chosen the fraction is known as three quarters or three fourths. We write it as 3/4. For example; a pizza is cut into four equal slices and Simmy ate 3 slices. How much pizza Simmy ate? Simmy ate three quarter of pizza (which is 3 slices of total 4 slices).
