Crypto Empire RPG FAQ: II Edition

Hello there,

Another turn has passed and as such another FAQs post is going to be seeing the light of day on the blockchain.

Today I'm going to answer some of the most frequent questions on this last turn and give you some other info related to stuff you started unlocking now, as well as events that unfolded.

If you're a @cryptoempire player, then this post is for you.

Read below and get some fresh knowledge that will hopefully help your colony thrive.

Here we go...

Worker Actions vs Colonist Actions:

So, let's start off by talking about character actions.

On one hand we have the colonist, which is kinda like your "hero", your "avatar", your in-game representation of yourself.

The colonist can take one action per turn. He can forage, build, order tech research, and go on a quest (so far).

Note that if you have a builder, you don't need to spend your turn building. But in the future there will be structures which take longer than 1 turn to build depending on the amount of builders you have... in this case, telling your colonist to build may hasten the construction efforts.

Finally, you can take workers, weapons and tools with you on quests, but never another colonist.

Workers cannot be shared between colonies.

Finally, we have workers.

Workers will go to work on their area of expertise unless ordered otherwise.

This means that if you don't issue direct orders to them that week, lumberjacks will cut wood, miners will mine stone and builders will build.

On the other hand, you may have noticed there are two resource pools:

Food: 0 (+2 this turn)

This means that you have 0 food banked in the granary but you harvested 2 food this turn, which will be banked next turn.

Only banked resources can unlock new stuff or be used, with the exception of food that can be consumed the same turn it was collected. In this case you'll see:

Food: 0 (+1 this turn) (-1 consumed: 1 settler)

Finally, you may see that workers have 1 defense, and a Legionnaire has 5 defense but costs the same as 5 workers...

...so why get a Legionnaire?

There are severall things to consider:

  • A Legionnaire's area of expertise is combat. Unordered he will patrol and watch.
  • A Legionnaire can be equipped with weapons (not yet unlocked).
  • A Legionnaire can be trained.

Finally, this isn't related to workers or colonists but just a small update on resources.

@yabapmatt is going to start earning gold next turn.

Gold is a resource that you can use to trade for goods and use on some special events.

It's precious. Try to get it.

A Player Was Killed: Resources and Respawn!

RIP @underground...

He didn't have many resources, but now he has none... that is because Ambassador Crane and @Eonwarped already went to his colony and took all his supplies to the Imperial Outpost.

His supplies are going to be distributed according to the following factors:

  • 50% of the resources are going to his overlord @Anjkara;
  • 100% of his remaining food is going to the "Very Hungry" players.
  • The rest of the resources are going to be used to build a statue in his honor.

Now, let us talk about getting back into the game.

@Undeground is dead, but he could get back in the game through his son.

He can't respawn now, but he will be able to respawn at a future date.

Stay tuned.
