steemit turning into real life?

so I've been browsing a lot on steemit these couple of days and there is a lot of talk about reward pool rape and evenly people with great content not getting the rewards they deserve.
then it struck me isn't that what life is like exactly?
for instance @berniesanders has been talking about reward pool rape of some steemians getting so much money from upvotes. but let's ask each other this: how did these people get such a big reputation to have such a big influence?
it's other that kept upvoting them in the first place which allowed them to grow.
that's sort of what's happening in real life. people worshipping others for things that aren't even that special. lets take the a more specific approach. keeping up with the Kardashians. do you know how much people watch it? millions is the answer. anything special happen? nope. anything educational happening? nope.
this is absolutely the same. so they might be raping the reward pool. but people still keep upvoting their garbage and people still be commenting on their stuff

steemit is just a model of how life is happening around us.
with the reward pool being just like money/time
time=money
people watching the kardashians gives them a reason to be on air which is making them richer and richer.

let me know what you think in the comments
