"Man-Know-Man" Syndrome: An Abuse of STEEM POWER. Original content getting little/no attention and Plagiarized posts getting huge Attention.

Man-Know-Man in other term is called Nepotism, favouritism or Cronyism, it is a practice of giving patronage or favouring people or person that you know or related to, over others.

This practice whereby people get a certain advantage over others because of their connection rather than ability is becoming a Normal on the Steemit Blockchain. Every user is guilty of Nepotism.

Steemit is a blogging and social network that rewards her users for posting, upvoting and commenting on interesting contents.

The Ideas Need Scott and Dan Larimer (founders of Steemit) had in mind while creating Steemit was to Promote original content and interesting works of her users not support Plagiarism.

My 5 months+ on Steemit, I have seen cases where Plagiarized materials get more upvotes (up to 100%) and support from other users with Very High Steem Power because they either have a personal relationship with them or paid them to get upvoted (Bid for Vote); and original content gets no attention even after 7 days.

Communication, relationship and engagement isn't a bad thing to create on the Steemit Blockchain but let's the ideas behind the Steemit Creation (Promoting original content) be actualised. Let NOT these communication and relationship amongst users bring Sentiments towards posts.

I agree with @samiwhyte when is said in his post, Engagement; the key to growth on Steemit Blockchain but let these engagement have the right purpose.

Not Everything is based on Nepotism.

Sometimes some posts don't get the attention needed because of the wrong use of tags, not having more follower or "follower" or/and unorganized post.

When one uses the wrong tag for the "right post", the post is misplaced. For example, someone for someone making a post that is HEALTH-RELATED, it is right to make his first tag as "health" and other "health-related" tag can follow; and not "Technology" or other wrong tags.

When you have few followers or "followee", your post won't be seen by many eyes and hence won't get the needed attention; because when you make a post, it appears on the feed of your Followers.

Nobody will love to read or vote an unorganized or confusing post. Organise your post!

It is Okay to make a post and Quote other peoples works; especially when it is related to what you are saying on your post, but don't let your post be 100% someone else's work, that's PLAGIARISM!. Don't forget to reference the quotes.

Steemit rewards original content not "Ctrl C, Ctrl V" works!

Uphold the Standard
