You can find more information about using tags on Steemit on the menu in the upper right-hand corner of the website. Click on the hamburger menu and then click on FAQ in the drop-down menu that appears. Then scroll down to Posting and click on What Are Tags?.

One last thing about tags is in most cases you can use 5 tags. Use the 5 maximum tags allowed and the most relevant tags to your post's topic so you can get the most views to your post. One exception is when you use DTube. For some reason, they only allow 4 tags.
