Just over 2 weeks ago I joined Steemit and have driven past my first STEEM DOLLAR with 1.36 STEEM DOLLARS! In this post, I will go into my steemit tips so that you can also get started right.
If you read my Steemit Introductory post, you will note that I have been into technology ever since forever! So, if you are new, this post may require a bit more time than just two weeks, but you also have some experiences that can help you if you are reading this and here.
Gradually people are learning more advanced technologies and how to apply them. If you have been a Facebook user, then you have learned how to post, that is something that we in the past had to program to get a page up and what a mammoth task it could be!
Earning your first STEEM DOLLAR is going to be a mammoth task, and it is not going to be easy. In fact you will likely look and think it is not worth it, and that is fine, but when you consider that you may be doing that online already but with zero value. All the while, letting some people sitting as billionaires of your slavery!
The first step is obviously have an account here. If you have an account great! Now you have a chance. Like getting that job, like getting that Facebook account for the first time, you are new, so what are you going to do?
My recommendation is to begin by looking at some posts and commenting to people. Begin getting some friends and followers. As you do this, you also learn the site more. You start upvoting and understanding how to do things.
Next you want to make sure you introduce yourself. This is an important step as a lot of people want to learn about each other and many people look at this section.
Once you have started commenting, following people and upvoting, learning how to use Steemit and how to post, now you need to make more posts.
As you do this, everything works holistically. You can't just upvote or just comment. You need to do all these things to succeed on Steemit.
Now consider some of my stats:

Now this is not the norm and there are many different things you could find but most important of all is how seriously you take being a star. By speaking about topics you like, your day and being a star - your own star, then you get more and more people who are interested in what you are interested in.
Though your first STEEM DOLLAR may take a little time, consider that it is far better than the nothing from other places. Now you can earn for your participation and this will enable you to earn more as you interact with people and build a following and friends.
Though your first STEEM DOLLAR won't make you instantly rich, it is an extra bit of income and considering that crypto currencies generally are deflationary, they do the opposite of money, instead of losing value, they go up, so it is worth it, even if you try for a couple of weeks!
So, get started if you have not already. Start chatting to people, read interesting things, find your voice and start putting up some posts and see the results.
