I have been away from this community for almost a year now, so much have changed.
Steem has certainly matured as a currency. Volatility is low and adoption is extremely high compared to just a year ago. It's crazy when you think about it how much progress Steemit has made to make an impact on the cryptocurrency scene.
And it's not only just Steemit, i see a lot of online services now accepting Steem and a lot more projects in progress that are somehow related to Steem. It seems like Steem has really broke a lot of people's expectations(including mine). It's not just a cryptocurrency anymore, in my opinion. It's a way of life.
But anyone else that is wondering right now why Steem is still in beta? I believe that Steem is already mature enough to make it out of beta mode. Is there some sort of milestone in development that has to be achieved for the Steem team to consider moving Steemit out of beta?
