The photo depicts a direct exchange of USD to Steem conversion, which will then be used to create a Steemit account instantly (with no waiting period) via Anonsteem by @someguy123. Anonsteem accounts are part of this post.
The number of accounts made were staggering 416,164 . Though these data was updated last October 8, 2017, its still one of the latest update and we're definitely growing!

Though these data may seem relevant or irrelevant to you, please take time to read this post.
- First account create was @fabian with an ID # 1.
- Currency exchangers @bittrex, @poloniex, @bitfinex, @bitstamp, and @coinbase were created on 34th-38th., respectfully*
- @bitshares, was created 4th. Bitshares is a technology supported by next generation entrepreneurs, investors, and developers with a common interest in finding free market solutions by leveraging the power of globally decentralized consensus and decision making.
- The first whale I've known on top of the list is Tom, @donkeypong created at 123rd. Tom has been an influential dot connector to communities like Nigeria, Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia, Philippines, etc.
- The account that is extremely amazing was the account of @jerrybanfield. It was created last May 2017, and was created at ID#157,811 but gained a lot of recognition. Reputation is at 72, the fastest grown reputation in the entire Steemit history. Completely stunning!
Another frustrating data were the creation of Spammy/Fake currency exchangers, these are accounts intentionally made to take advantage of the mistakes of Steemit users in withdrawing their Steemit funds. I was able to gather them yesterday and was shocked of the many existing accounts! Please take time to read Click to redirect to the article, and please do triple-check when you do a fund transfer.
Account creators
I was able to gather of the top creators of accounts, upon manually checking and with the use of some excel formulas, I gathered these :
- 409777 accounts were registered under Steem
- 2479 accounts were registered under anonsteem, a service offered by @someguy123 which secures your privacy bypassing the normal registration process in Steemit. With anonsteem, people can easily register accounts without providing email accounts or phone numbers for verification. You only need to pay 10 STEEM for account creation. Please check on @someguy123's post if you want to create one.
- 100 accounts were registered under @bago.
- 93 accounts were made out of customnature
- 79 accounts were made under @abit
- 34 under @dab, 30 @gardenofeden, 28 under @edmundspriede, 24 under @btcvenom, 19 under blockrush, and 17 under @communitynews
About the Data
I was fascinated, by the data I got and made me think of the ways to contribute it to the community. One typical example is the existence of Fake/Scam Exchanger Accounts, the trend of transactions made since the Start of Steemit (per day, month, or year), or the tags that stood one, highest payouts, most commented. Those were really influential and fun to think of. It could be of help on your future posts.
I was fascinated, amazed, and will do more.
