@tecnosgirl had a steem giveaway and I was one of the winners! This is a great opportunity to help spread the word about steemit.

Two refrigerator magnets, a notebook and a luggage tag. I can already imagine looking for my luggage at the airport and seeing that Steemit logo.

Steemit is alive and well.

I've been on this platform long enough to see the rise and fall of Steemit activity, which seems to happen when Steem and SBD loose it's value. I see it the other way around - this is a great opportunity to seek out those who are steadfast with their Steemit blogging, the ones who will be the future influencers on this platform.

There is a lot going for the Steem blockchain and STEEM currency, just a few:

• d.live: this is huge and getting huger everyday. There is a big campaign to get people to sign up (even without a steemit account) for d.live content providers to gain an audience. If the audience is interested in the content providers, they are all the more likely to sign up with a steemit account.

• Google Searches: Steemit is being indexed on google and the older articles are starting to show up in the results. When users see those dollar signs at the bottom of the posts, it gets them thinking "what is this, how does the author get paid?". With enough people thinking like this, every-so-often that heavy bitcoin guy comes along and buys up a bunch of STEEM. Welcome new influencer!

• Steem Monsters: Just announced that people who sign up for the game will receive their starter pack of cards and new steemit account for $10 USD. Bitcoin, Eth, Litecoin - take a small chunk and you have a new blogging account! And a nice card collection for possibly a very fun game. Great opportunity for new Steem users and enthusiasts. Steemit Really is Social Media Done Right

As more and more people become disenfranchised with the major social media sites, they are going to be looking for alternatives. Why not one that rewards users for their efforts, fosters great relationships and good behavior.

I'm going to be giving away some of these items offline to help spread the word about Steemit.com.
