The Crowded Whale is a new bot crowdfunded with donations from steemians. It is created to cast votes back on it's crowdfunders posts.

The mathematics is simple. Any steem account has a certain power which allows them to cast 10 daily votes and people votes for themselves as well. Quality posts usually require time and you can not write 10 quality posts a day, every day. If 10 people join their power 1 vote can worth as much as 10 individual ones and they can focus on creating quality content which will have a nice initial boost.

What @crowdedwhale intends to do?

• To help people with a low steem power to get votes on their posts, by putting in common some of their power.
• To vote quality hand written posts.

What @crowedwhale intends not to do?

• Not to be a vote selling bot. Selling votes on steem has become a huge problem. @crowdedwhale will be managed/changed/improved in such a way that will not waste too much of it's power on low quality posts.

For the beginning @crowdedwhale will vote on all posts of it's members but if members will abuse voting algorithm will be adjusted accordingly. One of the adjustments might consist in adding more weight to a post published in the 24 hours, than to decrease the weight with a specific rate to the second post and so on. Another measure could be to use text analysis and NLP algorithms and to allocate a higher weight to longer posts which appear long, natural and well written. It is not necessary a measure of quality but a measure of how much time was spent to create the post.

However, the mentioned options will not be adopted until a problem becomes annoying. For now @crowdedwhale has to grow based on donations. Keep in mind those are donations and the donated steem/sbd will not be refunded. In order to be added in the list to which @crowdedwhale will cast votes you need to send to @crowdedwhale at least( adding to the list is a manual process, if not accepted funds are returned ):

@crowdedwhale is intended for real people who want to create a few quality posts per day, almost every day. For the moment there are no daily limits but restrictions might be introduced.

Conditions:

• Any transfer done to @crowdedwhale should be considered a donation. No refunds should be expected after being accepted.( contributors who are not accepted will receive a refund ).
• No votes are guaranteed. Voting allocation will constantly be subject of change.
• Algorithms might(and probably will) be changed based on the behavior of contributors.
• Preferred solutions consists in improving voting algorithms, but temporary or permanent bans might occur.

This is bot is inspired by @ crowdfundedwhale bot, a bot crowdfunded by steemians which unfortunately seems not to be active anymore.
