After 2 months of exploring the ins and outs of using the Steemit.com to find a way how to effectively monetize my posts, i was able to learn my strategy the hard way.

When i first learned about steemit, i was excited that finally, a new platform could get my post monetized. Out of my curiousity i researched and looked for information on how to increase the value of my posts.

One of the most cost effective way of garnering votes for your posts is to be with the community. When i uploaded my first post, i was so lonely and for days it has only $0.01 earning because of my solitary upvote. This "upvote" is what really makes steemit ticks and motivates the users to keep on writing more articles or posting content such as photos, drawing, music or videos. Well i was challenged on how can i increase my upvotes.

I searched for tips using google.com of course and still i am directed back to posts in steemit. There, i learned that i need to connect to more people to help me "curate", yes that's a new term i learned for upvoting. That means, the more friends you have the more possibility of curation i get from them. Besides, each user can only vote once for each post.

So here i go, i went on to be a member of the Bisaya Steemians and Steemit Family Philippines. I am glad to have these communities. They are very active and supportive to their members. Because of them i was able to increase the revenue of my post from $0.01 to $0.25 just in time for my first payout, not bad enough for a newbie.

Yes, my first advice or tip to increase your revenue in steemit.com is to join steemit communities. Just be sure to connect with them in their chat room or discord to get the necessary assistance. Just be active in the community and give your share by upvoting their posts too.
