I saw this video and was immediately intrigued with its message. The message is so powerful and validates a very interesting point. We have all come to appreciate the great things about social media. It has certainly been a catalyst in advanced communication and provided great access and insights to people, places and perspectives that we don’t always get the opportunity to align ourselves with. awareness
Interestingly, the video suggests how we are no more mindful of those people, places and perspectives as we may think we are. Just because we have better access to them means nothing because truth be told as the pointed out, we live in a Social Bubble. A bubble that is a our very own social circle of accountability and validation of people who more often times than not think like we do. As I watched, I thought about my own Facebook friends list and had to agree.
As much as we all like to say and believe we are open minded, who we associate with regularly definitely paints a truer picture of what our core beliefs are. As they say, you can tell a lot by the folks you hang out with.
After seeing this video, it really gave me confirmation as to why I needed this Steem platform...to pop my bubble!
