a skinny arcade machin on the wall? hell yes!
quick interesting story my uncle had a million pound business in arcade machines when i was a teenager -- i used to love getting invited over to his house because he always had a number of machines all wired up in the kitchen for me to play.
i never used to like him that much thou because he would always gloat about the things he had, what he had done, where he was in life and actually was a pretty bad brother to my mum.
but anyway! enough about that, let's talk about this.
what a beast of an arcade and the retro looking unit is perfect, lovingly made, hand build, and potentially can use the original JAMMA technology that used to be the boards inside of the original arcade machines! :)
Pong (Atari in 1972) helped establish the game industry and is often referred as the origin of video gaming. OriginX is a handcrafted wooden tribute and a delicate homage to the Pong cabinet. Just like its precursor - OriginX is dressed up in an elegant exterior composed by walnut housing, yellow facade and control panel made from aluminium.
this is just one of those genius ideas that you know automatically is gonna make a lot of money for someone and keep them super busy making them each day -- someone has really done their homework on this one, perfect social media story telling on a daily basis making these! :)
best thing is that you can store like 10,000 different retro emulated titles on these things so you can 'flashback' and always been entertained -- love that i could play two player fighting games with my daughter or dayle, i'd love one just on the site in my van! :)
There will be just 50 of these OriginX arcade cabinet PCs released and each one can be customized with different colors and more. The device will ship in August and it will set you back €2,899 -- ships worldwide but comes in a limited edition of 50, each unit produced, polished, and assembled by Hultén himself in Gothenburg, Sweden
