This is an innovative technological medical device used in the treating of chronic inflammation, wound healing and pain therapy.
It uses the hermetically sealed water filter in the radiation path to filter out those infrared wavelengths which would cause the skin harm and then passes a locoregional heating through the tissues with high intensity and penetrative depth.
Thermal Effects:
wIRA increases
- temperature
- oxygen partial pressure
- perfusion in the tissue
- Non-thermal effects: putting direct stimuli on cells cellular structures
wIRA decreases
- pain (and required dose of analgesics)
- hypersecretion
- inflammation
