Revolutionizing Prosthetics is an ambitious multi-program — funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) —to create a neurally controlled artificial limb that will restore near-natural motor and sensory capability to upper extremity amputee patients.
This is MPL (Modular Prostethic Limb) which can be moved with the mind. The latest revolution for the medical world (in my opinion). In addition, there is a taste sensor that allows users to feel what objects they hold with the MPL's hand.
I am sure that this kind of technology will restore the "cheerfulness" of people who lose their hands, either because of illness, accident, or amputation.
