Today is the day of Roman god Mercury whose theme is structures, science, engineering, so we should celebrate this day for these benefits from the field of structures.

About Indus River

When Pakistan came into being in 1947, there was no system for water, so Pakistan signed a Indus Basin Treaty with India in 1960 guaranteed that Pakistan would recieve water from Indus river and it's two tributaries the Jehlum and Chenab Rivers independently of upstream controlled by the Hindustan (India).

About Bridge

This bridge connects Skardu (a place) with Gilgit Baltistan made on the Indus River which has it's own history in Pakistan.
