We continue in the streets of Venezuela implementing the mobile dining room through the social program "Bread From Heaven" this time we were present in the Cumanagoto sector, main avenue sharing a rich breakfast with the children of that community.
Breakfast is an important part in the development of children, in Venezuela most of the children at social risk and malnutrition do not have breakfast. Breakfast, says [Dr. William Cochran], of the American Academy of Pediatrics, “It is the first meal and starts the body for the rest of the day. ” It is defined as breaking the fast between the last meal of the night and the first meal of the next day. Unfortunately, not everyone adopts breakfast as a routine.
Dr. Cochran also mentions that 8-12% of children in the school stage skip breakfast and then in adolescence increases to 20-30%. Knowing these data, we must make parents and children aware that this important food should not be excluded. Adults and parents should set the daily example and consume with them the most important meal.
On this occasion we prepare the children for breakfast some delicious empanadas stuffed with meat with fruit juice in the best Venezuelan style.
The meatloaf is the most celebrated in Creole foods, and stuffed in empanadas gives it a unique texture, aroma and flavor.

Meatloaf patties
Ingredients
For the mass
2 cups of cornmeal
1 cup warm water
1 spoon of sugar
Vegetable oil for frying
1 teaspoon turmeric
Salt to taste
1 plastic bag
For the filling
300 grams of veal skirt
1 onion
4 tomatoes
1 red paprika
1 garlic stalk
3 garlic cloves
2 cups beef stock
1 tablespoon cumin
Olive oil
Salt
Peppe
