Ways You Can Help The Steemchurch As A Parishioner

Greetings to all our wonderful parishioners at the Steemchurch. As members of the steemchurch is it our duty to help in every possible way to ensure the church's growth and its sustenance. Whether the Steemchurch grows and not depends on us and we have a duty to support it in every way we can. People often consider the church as the physical building or place where believers gather and worship the Lord. This is absolutely not the case, the church is not the physical building or any place of worship but all the members in the body of Christ of which Christ is the head.

Every part of our body has a specific role to play and if one part decides to forgo its role there will be no proper coordination. The same thing happens in the church if a member fails to perform a role that is required of him or her.

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 1 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no [h]schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 1 Corinthians 12:12-26

As a Steemchurch member you should;

Develope the Habit of visiting others post, read them, upvote and comment.

One way we can get to know ourselves better is by visiting each others post, reading them and leaving good comments. Not only does it feels good when your post is resteemed and upvoted by the two generous friends @sniffnscurry but also when you receive a good number of comments on your post. This make you feel that your post has been found been useful and important to your readers. Some parishioners will show up on a particular post just because they want vote and that is not encouraging us to grow in anyway. Our drive shouldn't be base only on votes we receive for commenting.

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4

Partake in any activity that comes up at the steemchurch

Steemchurch is you and I. The growth of the church largely depends on all of us. One person cannot carry out every task. @sirknight and the apostles of Steemit and moderators of the church are doing a great work but still It is there is the need for parishioners to support in anyway they can. Be willing and ready to support any initiative the church embark on and don't help for sake of gaining recognition or attention but as doing it for the lord.

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eye service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Ephesians 6:5-7

Apply all the teachings and sermons you read to your life

It is the wish of the Lord that His word renews our mind, changes our heart and build our faith in Him. To achieve this we must become doers of the word and not hearers or readers only. We thank the Lord for blessing us with people who share the gospel to inspire us and instill in us good morals. All these effort will be a waste of time and resources if we don't practice what we preach or post here at the Steemchurch. As a parishioner you should live a life worthy of emulation and conduct yourself in a Christ-like manner.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. James 1:23-25

Use Your gift to support the Steemchurch

The reason God gave us gifts and talents is to use them to support His work. You didn't receive the gifts for your own gratification but for members edification, exaltation. The church need you to use your gifts to make good contributions and bring up useful ideas that will help building it up. Let's us all find out ways we can be of help to the church with our gift of preaching, evangelism, teaching, designing, administration, to help the church grow.
