STEEMCHURCH: The Tower of Babel

Hello my dear brothers of @steemchurch, today I am going to talk about The Tower of Babel, a beautiful reflection. We must teach our children, love Jehovah and others, respect and tolerance, we are neither better nor worse than other people, we are all children of God the Lord. Let's leave selfishness, presumption, be honest and good-hearted people, let's help others. God wants good and honest people.

The Tower of Babel

Source

Many years passed and the children of Noah had many children and their children grew and had more children, suddenly there were many people on earth.

One of these sons was Noah's great-grandson, named Nemrod, he was a bad person, he hunted, he killed animals and men, he also became king to rule other people, God did not like Nemrod. All the people of that time spoke a single language, Nemrod wanted to keep them together so he could govern them, so he told them to make a city and a big tower, they made bricks for the construction of it.

Jehovah God was not pleased that they did this construction, he wanted people to leave and live all over the earth, but they all said: Come on! Let's make a city and a tower so high that its top part will reach the heavens. Then we will be famous! They wanted honor for themselves not for God.

That's why God made people stop makinged the tower. It made people suddenly speak different languages, instead of just one, and they did not understand each other. That is why his city came to be called Babel or Babylon, which means "Confusion".

Now people started leaving Babel, the groups that spoke the same language went to live together in other parts of the earth.
