1Peter 1:15 KJV:But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Before God is going to demand Holiness from us, he must have given us holiness as a provision. When God said "be ye holy" it's because that's what we have become at salvation, so God wants us to live out that reality of our holy nature.

In the earlier verse Peter emphasized that we are made holy by the work of the Spirit
1Peter 1:2AMP:Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].

The act of living out this set apart life, is the workings of God's Spirit within you.

Let's see one more text
Heb 13:12 NIV:And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.

Jesus death was what made you holy to begin with, not what you do, actions comes later as a result of your holy nature. So because Jesus death has made you holy, you can now live the holy life God has called you to live. People got angry when I said weavon or make up doesn't make you holy or unholy, from the verse about you can see clearly that it's Jesus death that makes you holy.

I hope this is clear?
God bless you
