In the year 1918, a church was born in Africa, specifically Nigeria. It shook the whole of Nigeria and Africa at large with signs and wonders which liberated many people who had been in the bondage of demon and Satan for years.

Known to be the first indigenous pentecostal church in Nigeria, Christ Apostolic Church is a church that was founded with utmost belief in the power of prayer and healing power inherent in the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Church is a church of faith believing in God for healing of all manner of sickness with the use of water as instructed by God. This, God has been using to perform different kinds of miracles.

God started moving in the church when He called and used His servant, Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola who led the church to a great revival of 1930.

The revival, which brought gospel to a limelight through the pentecostal power experienced in all the centres of the revival. The wilderness separated for idol and demons were turned to praying centres, herbalist, occult people confessed the Lord Jesus and surrendered their charms.

Not only did people surrender to God but they received healing from long tormented sicknesses, above all, dead were raised among whom was a pregnant woman who was dead for four days.

There were other powerful men of God whose impact were felt in the journey of the church, their immense contributions can not be overemphasized. People like Ọba I. B Akindele, Pastor D. O Odubanjo, Prophet D. O. Babajide, J. A. Babatope, J. A Medaiyese and many others.

Since her inception, the church has been given so many names until the Lord gave the present name to Apostle J. A. Babalola in 1942. Part of the names of the church before now were Apostolic Church, Nigerian Apostolic Church, United Apostolic Church and later became Christ Apostolic Church.

It is my pleasure to invite you to the celebration of our hundred years of winning souls, liberation of those in bondage, and healing through the mighty hand of God.
