DAY 33 : MEDITATION NOT JUST READING

The Bible isn't just a book we open and glance through despite we tend to understand it as a mere written statement, as a Christian we should learn to understand the diversity between reading and meditation. The Bible has to be medicated upon, an act which involve the heart to receive the revelation behind the Bible and this is a paramount prerequisite for Faith building, very necessary for our personal victory because his word has to be hybrid with Faith for it to work.

Hebrews 4:2 (KJV) For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

So woebegone to know that we believers of the gospel, we feel the only time to have time for God is only when it's call for, just like Sunday service or weakly service. Then we go pick up our Bible from the bookshelves, dust and we are up to church or some hurry to glance through some verses and that's all, we say to ourselves "that's enough for the day" but when it comes to our business activities, we zeal it up with all attention, preoccupied with it all day and only give few minutes to our Bible mostly on sundays when we feel it's necessary and we feel and believe that his blessings we flow with us that way.

It is expound in his word concerning our victorious life and only when we wine and dine with his word, we will be just like the tree planted by the rivers of water.

Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Psalms 1:2-3 (KJV) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Meditation shouldn't be seen as something we hurry and do or a weekly thing, it's an exercise that involves the heart and should be a continuous exercise for us.
