STEECHURCH: Christ is not dead, he is alive

1 Corinthians 15

During the history of the Church, there have been and continue to be movements and people who not only deny that Jesus was resurrected but teach other things. The Sadducees already existed, at the same time that Jesus was crucified and resurrected, who strongly denied this great Christian truth. That is why Paul writes this great chapter guided by the Holy Spirit to clarify, teach, point out, and encourage the brothers to have a strong, firm, but healthy faith about the Christian life and real hope in Christ.

The evidences or proofs that Jesus recited at 3 days are conclusive, however, there are many people who do not believe it and deny it. Moreover, within the Christian church itself there are many who are not totally sure of this truth, and of this fundamental teaching of the church. However, believing, sustaining and teaching that Jesus was resurrected after 3 days is fundamental to the Christian faith.

However, even when Paul says that if Jesus did not rise up in vain is faith, vain is the preaching, it is useless to meet in a place to worship God. What he is saying is that if Christ died but was not resurrected, everything that is said about him, the whole great plan of God, is worthless, has no credibility. That is why, the whole chapter is not only a clarification, explanation and complete teaching on the resurrection but it is a defense of the faith that serves us to be sure of what awaits us after we die, it is a blessed hope .

Since Christ is alive, we have the assurance that when we die we will also be resurrected. After we are resurrected, we will live with Christ forever, and everything in this world will end, and our bodies will be different, without pressure from sin, death or anything, we will live only to worship God for all eternity. So, who can harm us now, neither death, nor sin? In Christ we are already more than winners.
