Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man which sold good seed in his field. But while men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the house holder came and said unto him, sir, didst not thou
sow good seed in the field?. From whence then hath it tares?. He said unto them, an enemy has done this.
Matthew 13:24-38

This parable illustrates the lives of many people today. The Bible tells us that all that comes from God is good and perfect(James 1:17). But then how come all this poverty, pain and sorrows?. The answer is the enemy has done this.
Apostle Paul said it all, saying
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walking about, seeking whom he may devour.

There is wickedness in this world, first John 5 verse 19. The fact that you offend no one and you do good to all is not enough reason why the enemy will not come after you. The enemy is always after whatever God is doing. He is a staunch enemy of God in your life.
You must be conscious of this. Ignorance of this makes a man a cheap prey. The ignorance of the oppressed is the strength of the oppressor. Jobs said
He hath stripped me of my glory, and taking the crown from my head.
Job 19:9.
That is the goal of the enemy.
How do men sleep, that the enemy has the opportunity to come in?
1.Sin:
Sin opens the door for the enemy while righteous living closes the door against him. When a man sins, something dies in him.
The scripture says he that committed sins of the devil.
1st John 3:8.
Perpetual living in sin makes a man lose value before he heaven. The easiest way to trade a man's glory is to keep him in sin. Run away from sin because sin sinks man's glory. It was sin that made Adam to lose his garden. it was sin that made Reuben to lose his blessing.
Do all you can to avoid sin.
