The Dispensation Of Favour

Isaiah 61:2

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.

The opening Scripture reveals the proclamation of Jesus Christ as seen in the prophecy of Isaiah. Jesus is anointed to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. What is the acceptable year of the Lord? It is the year of Jubilee: the dispensation of God's free favours to all. It was the beginning of the ministry of Jesus when He made this announcement. This was what He came to the world to do; to reconcile the world to God.

2 Corinthians 5:19 tells us that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing upon them their trespasses. Why? It is the dispensation of God's free favours. Between the time Jesus announced this and when He will return to catch up the saints, is the acceptable year of the Lord; it is the dispensation of God's free favours. We are in the dispensation of God's free favours. It began with the proclamation of the Lord Jesus Christ at the beginning of His ministry, which is still on; His ministry on the earth did not end when He ascended up on high, it was transferred to the Church, and will continue until the catching up of the saints. Welcome to the dispensation of God's free favours!

What are you to expect in the dispensation of favour?
2 Corinthians 6:2 tells us ”For he saith,l have heard the in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have l succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” It says I have heard you in a time accepted, which is the dispensation of favour. That's answers to prayers! Glory to God! You can call on God at this appointed time of God's free favours and be sure He will answer you. Again, the accepted time or the dispensation of favour is the day of salvation, which means the time to enjoy the salvation of the Lord. Salvation does not only mean to be saved from sin; it includes salvation from the consequences of sin.

Everything in the redemption package is of salvation: Peace, joy, prosperity, safety, fellowship with God, etc. Salvation is wholeness, nothing missing and nothing broken. That's all we stand to gain or enjoy in the dispensation of favour. Go ahead and bask in the glory of God, giving thanks to Him for bringing you into the dispensation of favour through Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
