How think ye? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? Matthew 18:12
Sometimes, christians are tempted to think of God as being unwilling to bless them; so that every time they stand in prayer, they have to convince God in order to receive answers to their request. However, if there is one thing God is stingy with, it is not money or blessings but rather His people (Romans 8:32). This can be seen from the opening scripture where the good shepherd who is representative of God was unwilling to lose even one out of his hundred sheep.
Now whether a person is stingy or not concerning an item is dependent on the value of it. One is likely to be stingy with something which is costly than something which is not; and because it cost God His only begotten son to purchase us, we are very valuable to Him. For this reason, he would not allow the devil or anyone to snatch us from His hands.
LIFE APPLICATION
Meditate on your actual value to God and be confident that he will not give up on you.

Thank you Father for helping me know my value to you and that you will never leave me nor forsake me.
